To use this resource, type in your Grand Challenge area (for example, solar energy) to get various activities, lessons, and curricular units to assist you in your planning.


Engineering Pathways National Science Digital Library  (an NSF-NSDL sponsored program)

To use this resource, you select the appropriate grade or audience, the resource type, and any key words (for example, K-12, Teaching-curricular units, and solar energy). You will then see curriculum, materials, and activities of relevance.


Project Lead the Way

Project Lead the Way is a pre-engineering middle and high school program available nationwide. Nancy Shaw at Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering is the North Carolina Director of Project Lead the Way. To use this resource, if you are from North Carolina, please contact Nancy Shaw at for guidance and assistance in incorporating the Grand Challenges into the innovative PLTW curriculum.
